REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Police on Wednesday accused a teenager has launched a series of cyber attacks against law enforcement agencies nationwide and two well-known British music entities.
Ryan Cleary, 19, had previously been detained as part of a joint investigation by British police linked the U.S. FBI's new attack against web site high-level institutions.
London Metropolitan Police, as reported by Reuters, said in a statement that Cleary was accused of attacking websites Serious Organised Crime Agency UK (SOCA).
He is also accused of attacking sites owned Phographic British Industry and the International Federation of Phonographic Industries.
Cleary, of Wickford, a quiet town in the northeast of London, appeared in London court Thursday charged with five violations of the Act criminal law and computer misuse laws.
In a few isolated houses, where he lived all the curtains closed and doors are the words "For all parties, do not knock it for the interview when I can not comment."
Metropolitan Police Commissioner Paul Stephenson describes his capture in a global hunt against a group suspected of targeting the company and the police "very significant".
However, a secret group that claimed responsibility for attacks on the U.S. CIA, UK SOCA, and Sony Corp. denied that the teenager was a leading figure of the group.
Hacker group Lulz Security (LulzSec), who said they had infiltrated the CIA website, SOCA, and Sony keep away from Cleary and Cleary dismissed any notion that the brains of the group.
"Obviously the British police who are so desperate to arrest us, they have arrested a person, with all its advantages, little to do with us. Lame," the group said on his Twitter page.
"Ryan Cleary is not part of LulzSec, we are one of the houses of many of our official chatroom on the IRC server, but nothing else."
LulzSec members, who often use what is called a denial-of-service attacks to flood websites with traffic internet sites, is believed to be the largest in the world collaborate melali secret chatroom.
Security experts say that the group was formed of Anonymous, a group of hackers known activists are targeting companies and institutions against Wikileaks and its founder Julian Assange.
Hackers are also targeting the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Lockheed Martin Corp., Citigroup Inc. and Google in a serious security breach even though no group has claimed responsibility for the attacks.
